Pakistan’s telecom ministry extends full support to Huawei to establish R&D centres

Ministry of Information Technology and Telecom (MI &T) Wednesday announced full support to Huawei for establishing research and development centres (R&D) in Pakistan in the field of emerging technologies. In a tweet, the ministry said, “MOITT will provide full support to Huawei for establishing R&D centers in Pakistan in the field of Emerging Technologies.”

Huawei has employed more than 800 Pakistani engineers to provide tech. support to Middle East and MOITT & Huawei will work on options to hire more Pakistanis,” the ministry said in a tweet posted.

Last month Huawei Pakistan had launched the “Learn ON for All” program in Pakistan, to ensure widespread accessibility to high quality education while Huawei Pakistan had already conducted six online guide sessions with around 150 students from Huawei ICT Academy. Six ICT academies have so far conducted twelve online certification courses.
